How the paver calculator works

Pavers = patio area ÷ single paver area, +10% waste. Base: 4 in of crushed stone; setting bed: 1 in of sand. Both are estimated in cubic yards.

With 4×8 in pavers (~4.5 per ft²), a 100 ft² patio needs ~495 pavers including 10% waste.

4 in of compacted crushed stone is standard for patios; 6–8 in for driveways.

Gravel
