How the flooring calculator works

Multiply room length × width to get square footage, add a 10% waste allowance, and divide by the box coverage printed on the manufacturer label.

10% is standard for straight installs; add 5% more for diagonal, complex patterns, or rooms with many angles.

Typically 20–30 ft² per box. Check the box — it's the most reliable number for your specific product.
