Calculate limestone for your project

Crushed limestone is a widely used aggregate — light gray/white, angular, and easy to compact. It's often cheaper than granite crushed stone in areas near limestone quarries.

Same sizing conventions as other crushed stone: #57 (¾″) is the workhorse; #8 is a smaller chip; crushed limestone screenings (0–¼″) are fines used for paver bedding and horse arenas.

Weight is ~2,700 lb per cubic yard. Ag lime (pulverized) is used to raise soil pH.

Common uses

  • Driveway base
  • Paver bedding (screenings)
  • Concrete aggregate
  • Agricultural lime (soil amendment)
  • Riding arenas
